1. ABOUT THE REPORT

Our hotel commits to fulfilling the obligations of the Turkish Sustainable Tourism Program related to sustainability and continuous improvement of the sustainable management system to enhance sustainability performance. The management system is regularly reviewed due to the industry's status, environmental, social, technological, economic, and cultural risks, changes and updates arising from regulations, and policies and systems are updated if necessary. Our "Sustainability Policies" represent our company's commitment in this regard. Therefore, all our orientations will be in line with this intention and direction. Our goal is to transform the principle of sustainability into a "way of doing business" in fundamental areas of our hotel and institutionalize it in corporate memory. The success and continuity of our efforts will be possible only by acting together with our employees, guests, business partners, suppliers, solution partners, and all stakeholders in our immediate environment to disseminate and strengthen this partnership day by day. Employee awareness, opportunities for their involvement, and contribution to development opportunities are highly valued as an integral part of the sustainability approach. In this context, our annual training plans and orientations include topics such as social rights, supporting local employment, preserving natural and wildlife, promoting local historical tourist sites, cultural richness, ecological diversity, energy and water conservation, environmental activities, recycling system, and local resource orientation. Efforts are made to promote the philosophy of sustainability within the operation.

2. FACILITY INTRODUCTION AND FEATURES

HERA HOTEL is located in the Kas district of Antalya. The facility has a total of 46 rooms with a bed capacity of 95. The hotel is seafront with its own beach and offers a magnificent view of the sea and the island of Meis. The hotel is located in the city center and is within walking distance of the general areas. Our hotel's entire management process forms the basic framework of a Sustainable Management System (SMS) that can be improved and sets forth its policies.
The foundation of our management system is based on risk analysis. Risk analysis is conducted in the areas of environment, natural disasters, society, culture, economy, quality, human rights, health, and safety. If necessary, new topics can also be added.
After the risks are analyzed, we have a crisis management policy and system that determines what to do in case the risks materialize.

OUR ENVIRONMENTAL PURCHASING POLICY

The most important target criterion in purchasing is to minimize waste and ensure continuity in purchasing.
Within this target, goods-reception practices to be implemented in the organization;

When purchasing, products that can be reused, returnable products or organic products that will not create non-recyclable waste will be preferred.

Instead of disposable products and consumables such as cups, forks, and amenities, reusable, refillable, or, if none is possible, products that are least harmful to the environment and recyclable will be preferred.

If the purchase of disposable products and consumables is mandatory (e.g. cleaning materials, stationery products, etc.), the purchase, use and recycling of these products will be carefully monitored and managed.

Products such as disposable plastic bottles, cardboard cups and packaged products in the rooms will be gradually removed,
determining targets for ending practices such as bagging used food products and other materials, and monitoring and reporting the process of compliance with these targets will be discussed in management review meetings.

It is important to avoid unnecessary packaging during procurement. Reusable glass and metal products will be preferred over paper and plastic cups, plates, forks, spoons, PET bottles for water, etc.

The amount of plastic waste to be generated will be reduced by purchasing frequently used materials (e.g. surface cleaners) in larger sized packages instead of small sized packages.

We prioritize the use of products that do not harm nature or the environment in the production of necessary goods and materials. Preference will be given to recyclable and eco-labeled products.

Especially for wood, paper, fish, other food items, and products from the wild, we will prefer environmentally certified products and suppliers.

Where certified products and suppliers are not available, the origin and methods of growth or production
will be taken into account.

We will avoid suppliers that jeopardize the existence of plant and animal products.

We will prioritize environmentally certified products in our selection of goods.

All goods (materials, raw materials, finished and semi-finished products) supplies and purchases will be made from suppliers who comply with the Food Laws and Regulations, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the Ministry of Health, the Public Health Law, and regulations, and who possess the necessary documents according to TSE Hygiene and Sanitation Systems, and their products with relevant certifications in accordance with purchasing standards.

Purchases will be made from local vendors within a 100 km radius to support local fair trade.

Purchases will be made from local companies that have been subject to the approved supplier company list and necessary inspections.

Attention will be paid to ensure that the cleaning, hygiene materials and protective equipment supplied have CE Certificate.

Priority will be given to suppliers who embrace fair trade practices in agriculture for food ingredients.

Local Procurement

When purchasing goods and services, our hotel gives priority to local suppliers, provided that they are of high quality and reasonably priced. For this reason, it regularly inspects its suppliers, updates its supplier list and informs its suppliers. The rate of goods and services received from the local people is measured.
